Chick-Fil-A is Removing Menu Items From Select Stores

It looks like Chick-fil-A is making room on its menu for some new items. The chicken sandwich fast-food restaurant announced that on January 13, six mainstay Chick-fil-A menu items will be removed to make room for three new spicy additions. But don't get too upset, these changes are only taking place in two markets- restaurants in Charlotte, North Carolina, and a number of locations in Arizona. Your chick-n-minis and waffle fries aren't going anywhere, so you can wipe that sweat from your brow.

Testing new items in select markets is nothing new, however, it is unusual to take items off the menu to make way for the new. The items getting the cut include the sausage and egg biscuit, sunflower multigrain bagels, Side salads, decaf coffee, the Grilled Cool Wrap and Original Chick-n-Strips. These cuts will make room for Chick-fil-A to try out new Spicy Chick-n-Strips, the Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich and the Spicy Chick-n-Strips Biscuit. According to Chick-fil-A, each spicy chicken is made with signature grilled or hand-breaded chicken and seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers.

Along with the cuts, some menu items will be downsized. Ordering a chicken nuggets kid's meal will only get you five nuggets (instead of the choice of four or six) and catering trays will only be available in medium size. Drinks like iced coffees, iced tea, and milkshakes will be served in 16-oz plastic cups instead of styrofoam. As for Icedream cones, the only size is small and the same goes for coffee.

What's The Reasoning Behind The Chick-fil-A Menu Cuts?

According to The Chicken Wire, the brand is looking to bring quality to its customers. Using customer feedback, Chick-fil-A altered the menu to fit the needs of their guests. Sure, some foods got the cut, but aren't you excited to try out some of the new spicy chicken offerings?
