It's always an exciting revelation when your favorite fast food chain announces that it is added a brand new item to their menu. However, it's even more exciting when it's Chick-fil-A revealing that they are adding a new beverage to their already impressive line of inventive sips.
Remember when Chick-fil-A officially added Frosted Lemonade to the menu in 2015 and Frosted Coffee became a permanent fixture in 2016? This year, too, Frosted Strawberry appeared on the menu as a seasonal treat for the summertime heat. So, naturally, the folks at Chick-fil-A wondered what other flavors could they frost to create an irresistible drink. The answer came from Florida.
The Frosted Sunrise
Florida is renowned for its citrus groves and the legendary oranges that come off those trees. So Chick-fil-A drink experts realized with orange season coming, now would be the opportune time to exhibit the agricultural bounty coming out of the Sunshine State.
So, starting on October 23, residents of Jacksonville, Florida who love the chain will be able to try this brand new treat from Chick-fil-A. Officially called Frosted Sunrise, the store claims that it's not a milkshake but nor is it a smoothie. It's a hybrid combination of their signature Icedream® and Simply Orange® Juice.
Creamy, tart, fresh, and delicious, it's everything you want in a blended drink. Move aside Zombie Frappuccinos, it's time for something refreshing this season.
A small Frosted Sunrise has 300 calories, and a large has 390 calories. For those of you that can actually try this mouthwatering creation, don't put it off! The new Frosted Sunrise will only be available in Jacksonville through Nov. 18. How long do you think it will take before this frosted drink becomes a permanent fixture on the Chick-fil-A menu?
The Cookie Milkshake
However, if you live nowhere near Florida and you happen to be in Utah, you're in luck. From October 23 until November 18, you can get your hands on a triple cookie milkshake.
Just in time for the holidays, Chick-fil-A is removing the agonizing decision of choosing between cookies and ice cream and rolling them up into one decadent dessert. The Holiday Cookie Milkshake blends Icedream® with sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, and shortbread cookies.
And just to put a cherry on top, Chick-fil-A wants your feedback as to whether or not this should become a seasonal drink nationwide.
