I would receive one of the suckers at the bank whenever I visited with my parents and that in itself was worth the boring wait. This week Tootsie Roll Industries rereleased their Candy Cane Tootsie Pops and I couldn't be more excited.
What are Candy Cane Tootsie Pops?
Invented in 1931 by an employee of The Sweets Company of America, Tootsie roll Pops candy have always been an American candy staple. The original regular Tootsie Pop flavor was chocolate, and in the years since the candy company has expanded their line to include over 20 unique and delicious flavors including cherry, raspberry, grape, orange, lemon-lime, pomegranate, caramel, and even banana. During the holiday season Tootsie Roll releases, you guessed it, a peppermint flavor.
Filled with a chewy chocolate tootsie roll center , this hard candy is coated with hard candy that tastes just like a yummy peppermint candy cane. The Candy Cane Pops are even decorated and striped red & white exactly like a candy cane. If Candy Cane Peppermint Tootsie Pops don't shout out, "holiday season" I don't know what does. It's a perfect stocking stuffer or candy to leave in a bowl on the coffee table

Some Instagrammers, like ThreeSnackeateers, have found the peppermint and chocolate candy at their local Target. However make sure to check online if they are in stock. My local Target has completely run out! Some local candy stores that sell bulk candy may have this in stock, but always call ahead.
