Irecently moved into a much (much) smaller kitchen space. When I made that move, I was forced to downsize some of my favorite kitchen gear. You wouldn't believe how much I gave up just to keep my entire Calphalon cookware set. Now, I'm missing my favorite Cuisinart food processor and wishing I had originally invested in a set of Calphalon space-saving pots and pans.
In terms of durability and quality, Calphalon cookware might be the best around, which is why I couldn't give up one single piece. Honestly, I'd have thrown out my 10-year old cast iron before I let these pots and pans go. I wish I'd known about the stackable, unique design of Calphalon's space saver line when I was first shopping for kitchen equipment. But it looks like my loss is your win.
Best Calphalon Space Saving Cookware
Even the smallest set of Calphalon Space-Saving cookware will save up to 30% more room than the Classic line. This starter collection includes a 10-inch fry pan, a 4-quart saucepan, and glass lids that fit (and stack within) both.
The quality of Calphalon's nonstick interior can't be overstated. Eggs, meats, curry paste, it doesn't matter-- nothing is sticking to these pans. That said, there is one thing to note. Despite Calphalons being designed as metal utensil safe, scratching up the lining isn't covered under the lifetime warranty. So, stick to silicone cutlery and cooking utensils.
With stainless steel handles (which my Calphalon Classic set definitely does not have,) the Space-Saving cookware set is oven-safe. That means fewer dishes to wash because now you can sear large cuts in your saute pan and then put it all directly in the oven. I promise I'm crying tears of joy for you.
Fortunately, a larger pot and pan set won't take up that much more cabinet space, even if the 8-piece comes with a 6-quart stockpot.
Not only do these Calphalons hold up well in the oven, but the hard-anodized, triple-layered aluminum is also dishwasher safe for super (I mean super) easy cleanup.
And, they work great on any sort of cooktop. Gas? Definitely. Electric? You bet. Induction? Go ahead and cook on.
The 15-piece set has everything but a griddle, including an 8-quart stockpot that's the size of a dutch oven (and just as useful as one, too). With multiple sizes of grill pans and frying pans, you're forgiven if you start to feel like you're in a commercial kitchen. Don't worry though, even with the large range of cookware sizes, these pans still stack into each other like a Russian nesting doll.
This 8-piece of stainless steel cookware looks good on the stovetop, is dishwasher safe, and has a special heat control function to avoid warping under extreme temperatures. This review says it best:
Along with space-saving cookware, Calphalon also has a line of amazing bakeware sets. Get busy in the kitchen with two-day delivery from Amazon!
