If you live in the South (or in random places Chick-fil-a locations have been popping up) you've probably been enjoying fried chicken sandwiches before the whole Chicken Sandwich war started. Chick-fil-a is home to the original chicken sandwich. Heck, it even says it on their buildings! So when I saw Burger King was releasing their take on the chicken sandwich I had to pit the two fast food chains against each other.
Meet the New Ch'King Sandwich from Burger King

This week the burger chain rolled out two new menu items: The Ch'King Sandwich and the Spicy Ch'King Sandwich. The new chicken sandwich features a crispy white meat chicken filet topped with pickles, a savory signature sauce, and a potato bun. The deluxe version is loaded with tomato and lettuce minus the pickle while the spicy version is topped with a spicy glaze.
Burger King was one of the last fast food chains to introduce their version of the crispy chicken sandwich. Popeyes came out with there version about a year ago. According to a press release, "We committed to not half a**ing our sandwich, and we meant it." The Burger King crispy chicken sandwich may have taken awhile to create but it was worth the wait.
We taste-tested Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches alongside Burger King's and there is a clear winner.
Rollout the red carpet, Burger King wins this battle of the Chicken Sandwich war on both counts. Burger King's breading was crisper, their seasoning was more present, and their sauce added something that no Chick-fil-a sauce could do.

And don't get me started on Burger King's spicy chicken sandwich. It blew Chick-fil-A out of the park! Spicy with a hint of sweetness, the Burger King Spicy Chicken sandwich is everything a spice-lover looks for. Spicy, peppery, and a hint of hotness that hits the back of your throat.
So the next time you crave a chicken sandwich on Sunday don't worry; Burger King has you covered.
