Buc-ee's To Break Ground on First Georgia Location

Get ready Georgia, beaver nuggets, jerky, homemade fudge, fresh pastries, and the finest restrooms around, are coming soon! Buc-ee's, the Texas-based convenience store is expanding to the south of Macon in Warner Robins, at the southeast corner of Interstate 75 and Russell Parkway. The gas station is set to break ground on at 11 a.m. Nov. 18, with the travel center opening in early 2021.

Why Did Texas-based Buc-ee's Choose to Open in Warner Robins, Georgia?

According to the press release, the convenience store chain chose the location because of its proximity to Robins Air Force Base and it's location between Atlanta and Florida. "We're excited to break ground in Warner Robins and provide people with a world-class option for their travel needs along the highway. Warner Robins is one of the fastest-growing cities in Georgia, and we are hoping to support the military community at nearby Robins Air Force Base by providing quality jobs with great pay, full benefits, 401k, and three weeks vacation," said Jeff Nadalo of Buc-ee's. The store is set to hire over 200 local employees and will be hosting job fairs when the opening date gets closer.

The 53,000-square-foot travel center will be a mecca to weary travelers, offering 116 fueling positions, the cleanest restrooms around, and thousands of food options including their world-famous beavers nuggets. These sweet corn puffed snacks are coated in sweet caramel. One bite and you'll be eating the entire bag in no time. It's not a stop at Buc-ees without a taste of these nuggets.

This groundbreaking follows two other out-of-state Buc-ee locations, including one in Daytona Beach, Florida and another near Mobile, Alabama. Headquartered in Lake Jackson, Texas, the brand is looking to expand, bringing their travel stores to the masses and sharing some of their Texas hospitality.
