Blue Bell's Autumn Flavor Is Honey Praline Pumpkin Good

You may not think of fall as being ice cream season, but when the frozen treat in question is pumpkin-flavored, we're a fan of ice cream all season long. Which is why we're cheering the release of Blue Bell Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream. On their Instagram account, the Texas ice cream company announced that the seasonal flavor is back on the shelves.

Blue Bell Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream is spiced pumpkin ice cream with sugar-coated pecans and a rich cinnamon-honey-praline sauce. The limited-edition ice cream flavor has already won the hearts and taste buds of pumpkin spice fans, with social media commenters saying, "How many of these do you think I can fit in the freezer?" and "Let the pumpkin obsession commence!"

Blue Bell Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream is Back!

The ice cream company, based in Brenhem, Texas, is back in expansion mode after the major food safety event four years ago caused them to shut down production and recall 8 million gallons of product. The listeria scare could have ended the century-old brand, but the company replaced equipment and revised procedures in order to fix things, leading the Texas Department of State Health Services earlier this year to decide that the company no longer needed extra monitoring.

Since then, Blue Bell has started to expand again, opening up a giant new distribution center in Suffolk, Virginia, bringing the number of distribution centers up to 59 in 22 states.

Blue Bell Spiced Pumpkin Pecan Ice Cream is available in half gallons. We don't know exactly how long the ice cream will be around, but our guess is it's going to go fast, so get to your stores quickly if you want to get in on this version of everyone's favorite autumn flavor.
