UPDATE: March 14, 2018 at 9:45 a.m.m

It's official, y'all! If you live in the cities listed below in Indiana, New Mexico, and Kentucky, you can finally find Blue Bell Ice Cream in grocery stores. Continue reading below for the specific cities and areas that Blue Bell is now distributing to, and don't forget to tell your friends and family in those parts the great news.

The original article and city listing follows below.

As you know by now, Blue Bell ice cream in Brenham is a Texas staple. Found in freezers across the Lone Star State, Blue Bell once distributed in many more states and cities before the ill-timed listeria outbreak. The brand bounced back in the last few years with its seasonal flavor releases, even if it did sell out of Christmas Cookies ice cream before December even began. Oh to have a taste of that sugar cookie ice cream with red sprinkles and a green icing swirl again. We digress. Now, those out-of-staters who love Blue Bell have finally be able to get their fix.

The Texas brand announced that it would be extending its list of cities for distribution in 2018, and there are some major surprises.

1. New Mexico

New Mexicans, rejoice! No longer will you have to lug Blue Bell across state lines because as of March 12, 2018, the following New Mexico cities will receive Blue Bell Creameries delicious ice cream. From Chocolate Chip to Homemade Vanilla, Blue Bell promises the return of half gallon after half gallon of fan favorites, along with new flavor releases.

As Wayne Hugo, vice president of sales and marketing for Blue Bell said in the press release,

"It has always been our goal to return to the Albuquerque area. Blue Bell has been available in parts of southeastern New Mexico since 2016. And now, with the addition of Albuquerque and its surrounding area, we are able to offer our products to even more stores across the state. We can't thank our customers enough for their patience."

The brand will reopen the distribution facility in Alburqueque and have begun hiring for the office there. While no store locations have been released, most can expect to find it on regular store shelves.

Here are the New Mexico cities that will be served by Blue Bell.

The brand will also reopen the distribution facility in La Grange, and have begun hiring personnel. Wayne Hugo also spoke on the importance of returning to the Midwest and not just the Southern states, like Alabama and Georgia.
