Who is the Best Maid Pickle Company?
Pickling since 1926, Best Maid Pickle Company started out when Mildred Dalton of Mansfield, Texas was busy in her kitchen making mayonnaise for the one-room grocery store in Fort Worth, Texas, her and her husband own. Soon, she starts selling sandwich spread which requires pickle relish. However, due to fluctuating prices, Mildred decided to make her own pickles using the cucumbers from her garden. The garden grew to be bigger than expected, so Mildred canned the pickles to be sold in the store where they were an instant hit.
Now, almost 90 years later, the company sells a variety of pickle items including baby dills, Xtreme Hots, sour pickles, spicy pickles, and even Beer Maid Beer Pickles made in partnership with Martin House Brewing Company.
Like Best Maid Pickles, Martin House Brewing Company is based in Fort Worth and loves to share their love of craft beer (and pickle beer) with fellow Texans. Packed with big dill pickle flavor, the Best Maid Pickle Beer is a winning combination of Best Maid pickle dill juice and Salty Lady Sour Gose base. With an opening date of October 23, 2020, the Best Maid Pickle Emporium is officially open for business. The retail shop is Fort Worth's first pickle shop and features all your favorite Best Maid Products (hamburger slices, gherkins, pickled okra, oh my!) as well as a life-size mascot named, Smiley.
