Baked Pickle Chips
These Baked Pickle Chips are the perfect southern side dish to any meal. The best part is that they are baked, making them a bit healthier.
- 3/4 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 3 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 egg whites, beaten
- 36 kosher dill pickle chips, patted dry
- Preheat your oven to 400º. In a bowl mix together the panko, cayenne pepper, and paprika. In a second bowl place the flour. In a third bowl the egg whites.
- Dip pickles in flour, then egg whites, then panko and place in a single layer on a greased baking sheet. Spray with cooking spray and bake for 8 minutes. Turn pickles over and spray with cooking spray, baking an additional 8 minutes. Remove from oven and serve hot.
Serve with ranch, buffalo sauce, or even eat them plain. If you do not have cooking spray, drizzle on 1 Tbsp oil over the chips to ensure the chips get nice and crispy.
