Alex Drummond is Engaged To Her College Sweetheart

Ree Drummond's daughter Alex Drummond and fiancé Mauricio Scott met freshman year at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. Recently Alex shared a throwback photo sharing how the two met at Ranch, an undergrad Delta Delta Delta party hosted every year. "s/o to freshman yr. ranch for introducing me to this dude. who woulda thought ? thank you, ranch! one last time!" Alex captioned the photo.

The happy couple celebrated their engagement with family and friends which Alex shared on her Instagram stories. The party includes lots of champagne and a flower wall decorated with "The Scott's" for guests to take photos in front of.

According to the Pioneer Woman star, the proposal was a complete surprise, which she accounts in The Pioneer Woman Magazine. What Alex thought was a birthday party for Mauricio's step-mother actually turned out to be her own engagement! The entire Drummond family (Ree Drummond and husband Ladd Drummond, along with kids Paige, Bryce, and Todd) was there to witness it and congratulate the couple at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, Texas.

What's next for the happy couple? Guesses are its time to start planning a wedding. Fingers crossed by the time they wed the coronavirus pandemic will have calmed down so the happy couple will be able to enjoy the celebration without worrying about face masks and social distancing.
