Air Fryer Canned Biscuits Are a Quick & Easy 10 Minute Side

I always keep a tube of Grands biscuits in the fridge for whenever we needed biscuits whether it be for breakfast served up with gravy or with a pork chop dinner. While you can preheat your oven and bake them in the traditional way, we've come across a new fast and easy way to get your side dish on the table and it uses an air fryer. If you like crispy biscuit edges, these air fryer biscuits are just for you!

Why Use An Air Fryer to Cook Canned Biscuits?

Although canned and refrigerated biscuits are most often baked in a traditional oven, we've found that using an air fryer to cook biscuits is an easy trick that helps get dinner on the table faster. Using an air fryer, your biscuits can be done in as few as 8 minutes, perfectly browned and with crunchy layers.

This is also a great trick for when your oven is already full, but you want your whole meal to come out piping hot at the same time.

Additionally, an air fryer is a great way to re-heat yesterday's biscuits in a flash, without drying them out one bit.

Besides, if you've got an air fryer, it's most likely that you want to use it!

How To Cook Refrigerated Biscuits (Canned Biscuits) in the Air Fryer

If flaky biscuits are your jam (pun intended), grab your air fryer basket and can of biscuits. Like many air fryer recipes, the total cook time is quick, making this recipe perfect for those nights you forget to put a side dish together!

Start by spraying your air fryer basket with cooking spray. You don't want to use parchment paper in this recipe because it'll block the hot air and your buttermilk biscuits won't be as golden brown as expected. Some people like to use a specialized air fryer liner, such as this silicone model, to keep the air fryer clean and prevent the food from sticking.

Place the refrigerated biscuits (think Pillsbury Grands) in a single layer, giving each biscuit room to rise. Air Fry at 330F for 6-7 minutes then using tongs, flip the biscuits and cook 1-3 more minutes, until golden brown and cooked through. Brush with melted butter and serve. Leftover biscuits can be reheated in the air fryer as well if you love your biscuits to be crunchy and hot.

Frozen food is delicious cooked in the air fryer, especially frozen biscuits! For perfect biscuits, spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the frozen biscuits in a single layer, giving room to spread and rise. Air fry at 330F for 10 minutes, then using tongs, flip the biscuits and cook 9-12 more minutes, until golden brown and cooked through.

Do you have a favorite biscuit recipe that you'd like to try air frying? Simply prepare your biscuit dough, making sure to cut in your unsalted butter with a pastry cutter, and cut out the biscuits with a biscuit cutter. Air fry at 390F for 9-11 minutes. Serve with room temperature butter.
