Chest Bockwell: The 'Boogie Nights' Craft Beer to Hit Shelves Soon

Phoenixville and Pottstown, Pennsylvania-based Sly Fox Brewing is partnering with national bar/arcade chain Barcade to release a collaborative "Boogie Nights"-based beer, to be released April 6, Men's Journal reports

"Chest Bockwell" -- named after a character played by John C. Reilley's Reed Rothchild in the film-within-a-film "Angels Live in My Town" -- is a chestnut take on a classic German dunkel bock, brewed with roasted Vienna, Munich, caramel and Bavarian malts.

Barcade President and CEO Paul Kermizian said of the collaboration:

"We're very happy to announce this collaborative beer, Chest Bockwell. We have been great fans of Sly Fox for years, and have been talking about working on an exclusive with them for some time. We really enjoy traditional German-style lagers, but also beers with unusual ingredients. Here, we balanced those conflicting interests and developed a truly flavorful beer."

Barcade and Sly Fox will release Chest Bockwell on at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at the Fishtown, Philadelphia Barcade.

It will later be available at Barcade locations in Brooklyn, Manhattan, Jersey City and New Haven during April.

This isn't Barcade's first one-off partnership; the chain has partnered with small crafter breweries for several collaborative beers, including Shmaltz Pastrami Pils, Captain Lawrence Simpsons Did It! IPA, Smuttynose Coily and Greenport Harbor Goth Logger.
