We Wait All Year for Blue Bell's New Holiday Releases

If there are a few rules for eating like a Texan, having a carton of Blue Bell in your freezer is a necessity. While the standby flavors are on store shelves all year long, there's something special about celebrating the seasons with Blue Bell's special seasonal releases. Whether they bring you one step closer to summer, 4th of July, or hunting season, Texas' favorite ice cream shop sure knows how to keep us guessing and always excited for the next release.

This year, we're excited to share that Blue Bell's Peppermint Ice Cream is officially on store shelves for the holiday season.

Blue Bell Peppermint Ice Cream is Back!

Just to recap, the Peppermint is a cool peppermint ice cream that's flecked with peppermint candy pieces.

Currently, this is the one of the first holiday-inspired Blue Bell Ice cream to hit shelves. Other holiday flavors include Peppermint Bark ice cream, a cool and creamy mint ice cream loaded with dark chocolate chunks, and tasty white chocolate chunks containing crushed peppermint candies. There's no set date on when the Peppermint Bark ice cream is hitting shelves, but we can bet it is soon!

Another seasonal flavor that is hitting the shelves with Peppermint ice cream is Blue Bell's famous Christmas Cookies flavor. Loaded with chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and tasty sugar cookies and decorated with red sprinkles a green icing swirl, the holiday spirit ice cream flavor is a must-try.

There's nothing like a good crunch in a carton of smooth, creamy Blue Bell. How delicious does that sound? Of course, all Blue Bell flavors just divine, but we have some fun ideas for using this refreshing peppermint ice cream.

Maybe this is the year you try Peppermint Milkshakes, with our handy milkshake guide. Maybe you'll slap it between two cookies and make Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. Our cookies of choice for a peppermint ice cream? Sugar cookies! There's no wrong way to eat peppermint ice cream, but a fill our easy vodka pie crust with it, and stick it in the freezer for Peppermint Ice Cream Pie.
