Texas’ Barbacoa & Big Red Festival Is Right Around the Corner

There may be no two tastes more uniquely Texan than Big Red and barbecue, and on May 21, the city of San Antonio will celebrate both with the seventh annual Barbacoa & Big Red Festival.

Held at the R&J Music Pavilion, the event features tons of vendors serving up their finest barbacoa tacos, and plenty of ice-cold “East Side Champagne” to wash it all down, along with live music and entertainment, games, children’s activities, and more.

Check out a promo video for last year’s festival below.

The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21. The R&J Music Pavilion is located at 18086 Pleasanton Road, San Antonio, Texas 78221.

Tickets are $6 general admission (13 and older) and $12 VIP, and are available here. Kids 12 and younger are free.
