Oreo Cadbury Creme Eggs Have Arrived, But There’s a Catch

Even though Valentine’s Day hasn’t even happened, Easter is just around the corner. On April 16, chocolate lovers will once again unite and indulge in an unnecessary amount of confectionary cocoa. If you are a lover of Easter chocolate, then you probably familiar with the king of them all: Cadbury Creme Eggs. This treat has been around for decades and we have seen many different versions of the classic in that time.

In Cadbury’s latest renovation of the classic egg, however, they have finally hit the jackpot. This time, the chocolaty outside of the egg is stuffed with chunks of Oreo cookies and cream. Doesn’t that sound heavenly?!

America Is Still Waiting for Oreo Creme Eggs.

Unfortunately, there is a catch here. This newest addition to Cadbury’s egg lineup is not actually new. It debuted last year without any fanfare and out of our reach. That’s right, the latest flavor is only available in the UK and Canada.

Generally, being deprived of Oreo’s latest innovative form is no great tragedy. We could have probably done without pumpkin spice or Swedish Fish flavor. However, this time they discovered the ultimate flavor combination and us Americans are not even being used as guinea pigs!

Mental Floss has already sent Cadbury demands for comment on when this delicacy will arrive stateside. However, they, and us, have yet to receive any news on its potential future release in America.

In the meantime, we will all continue to wait patiently and continue to drool over the photos of this latest Cadbury Creme Egg.
