The 3 New Flavors of Ben & Jerry's Healthier Ice Cream Hit Shelves

Your two favorite guys have done it again. From being there during those hard break-ups to supplying you with delicious flavors like Half-Baked and Phish Food, Ben and Jerry's have flipped the switch once again in the world of ice cream and it's surprisingly healthy. That's right; Ben & Jerry's released a Halo Top-like line of low calorie ice cream and it looks heavenly.

The new ice cream line, Moo-phoria, includes three new flavors: Chocolate Milk & Cookies, Caramel Cookie Fix, and P.B. Dough. Each pint has fewer calories, sugar and fat compared to their regular pint counterparts. And each ice cream is made completely with organic dairy.

A single serving of Moo-phoria runs about 150 calories per half-cup (that's 1/4 of the entire pint). And while the low-calorie ice cream still has more calories than a pint of Halo Top, it's hard to pass on the decadent flavor.

Unlike other light ice cream, Ben and Jerry's brushed off sugar alcohols or sugar substitutes. Instead, Ben & Jerry's Flavor Guru Craig Koskiniemi explains that the ice cream was lightened up by reducing the amount of cream and adding in more air.

The Flavors

Each new ice cream flavor includes swirls and mix-ins, making this healthy treat taste like a scoop of regular ice cream. Chocolate Milk & Cookies is made up of chocolate and vanilla ice cream swirled with pieces of chocolate chip cookies while Caramel Cookie Fix is contains vanilla ice cream mixed with salted caramel swirls and shortbread cookies. And let's not forget P.B. Dough, a blend of chocolate ice cream and swirls of chocolate chip peanut butter cookie dough. Yeah, not your average diet ice cream flavors.

The pints are available now alongside Ben & Jerry's new dairy-free ice creams in the freezer section of your grocery store.
