After perusing Joanna Gaines’ Instagram feed for sneak peeks, it is with great pleasure to announce that the Gaines’ renovation project and restaurant, Magnolia Table, is officially open. Formerly known as the Elite Cafe in Waco, the new restaurant is the Gaines’ first restaurant concept, apart from the Silos Baking Co. Between raising four children with a fifth on the way and hosting a slew of creative events at the Silos this spring, the Gaines family can now settle in and relax at Magnolia Table with the rest of their beloved town to have some family favorites, including breakfast.
Magnolia Table, found at 2132 S. Valley Mills Drive will serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch from 6 a.m. through 3 p.m. from Monday through Saturday.
Similar to Chick-fil-A and many other family-run businesses, the restaurant will be closed on Sundays so that means you won’t be visiting from Sunday brunches.
The decor inside features vintage photographs and a resurrected style from the Elite Cafe, with two coffee bars paying tribute to the old Waco standby.
What’s on the menu at Magnolia?
So what will the “Fixer Upper” family serve up? Since, as Joanna put it in a previous Instagram post, Chip Gaines is a breakfast connoisseur, you could almost call Magnolia Table a breakfast joint. People shared some photos of the menu from Magnolia Table and we are already planning a trip.
There’s a French Toast Breakfast, Farm Eggs Benedict, and Chip’s famous Ham Sandwich. That bad boy has sliced grilled ham and melted cheddar, served up with two scrambled eggs and a croissant.
Oh, and house-made tater tots are on the menu and come with the sandwich, too. The HGTV family clearly knows that in Texas, everyone needs a bigger breakfast.
If you’re not in the mood for breakfast when you roll up to Magnolia Table, fear not! The 1919 Pimento Cheese Sandwich with a classic pimento cheese spread on grilled sourdough is an homage to the Elite Cafe’s history, and the Gaines Brothers Burger with Havarti cheese and an heirloom tomato sounds just delicious.
You won’t find fried chicken on the menu, but you will find Our Favorite Chicken Salad Sandwich with toasted pecans and red grapes on a croissant.
Check out the full menu below.
So for the most important meal of the day, will you head to Magnolia Table when you’re in town?
If it’s anything like Ree Drummond’s Mercantile in Pawhuska, we can imagine that the restaurant is full of rich history and delicious food, turning even a Monday morning into something beautiful.
