Over 500,000 Target Easter Toys Recalled for Terrifying Risk

If you have an Easter basket in your household, make sure you check it for the Hatch & Grow Easter toys recalled from Target. The objects expand to over six times its size in water, but that’s not the scary part.

It’s being recalled because if ingested, the toy can “expand inside a child’s body and cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting, dehydration, and could be life-threatening,” according to a statement released on April 13 from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

If swallowed, surgery is required to remove the toy from the body. It’s also possible that the toys may not show up on an X-ray machine so if your child received one of these toys for Easter, be sure to locate it immediately.

  • Hatch Your Own Dino

Over 560,000 of these toys were sold across the country from February 2017 to March 2017, according to the statement.
