Grab Some Free Taco Bell Today to Celebrate Warriors Win

Today is the day, taco fans! Taco Bell is inviting fans to "steal" a taco in honor of Game 3 of the National Basketball Association (NBA) finals, which was "stolen" by the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors won the game against the Cleveland Cavaliers while playing on the Cavs' home court.

As part of the "Steal a Game, Steal a Taco" promotion, Taco Bell is partnering with the NBA to offer customers one free Doritos Locos Taco only on June 13. You need to visit a participating Taco Bell location between 2 and 6 p.m. local time today to get your free Taco Bell Doritos Locos taco.

In a release announcing the promotion, Marisa Thalberg, global chief brand officer for Taco Bell Corp. said, "The NBA Finals and Taco Bell are the perfect matchup, and we can't wait to once again raise the stakes of an already fierce competition by putting free Doritos® Locos Tacos for America on the line. This is the third time we've partnered with the NBA, and the power of our combined fanbase creates an exciting cultural moment around the Finals. We know one thing is for certain, everyone will be rooting for tacos."

For the non-basketball lingo proficient, a stolen game happens when a team playing a road game wins, stealing the victory from the home team who generally has the home court advantage.

This giveaway marks the third year in a row the fast food chain has offered everyone in the country free Taco Bell tacos as part of the NBA Championship. Last year, the Warriors also stole Game 3 in Cleveland, while in 2016, the California team stole Game 4 from the Cavs. (Maybe you're beginning to sense a pattern here?)

"While only one team can take home the trophy, fans everywhere will once again have an added opportunity to celebrate the Finals thanks to Taco Bell," said Kerry Tatlock, Head of Marketing Partnerships, NBA.

The offer is good while supplies last at participating Taco Bell locations in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
