The Five Guys Secret Menu Is Belt-Busting and Oh So Delicious

With over 1,00 worldwide locations (including Dubai, Madrid, and Toronto) Five Guys is known for their fantastic no-frills burgers and fries. Made with fresh, never frozen beef and an array of toppings, Five Guys prides itself on customizing your burger to your heart's content. In fact, there are over 250,000 ways to customize your burger. From the addition of cheese and jalapeños to ordering it "all the way," Five Guys is known for making each burger specifically for the person ordering it. But like all good fast food chains, are you up on the Five Guys secret menu items?

The Five Guys menu is simple and revolves around classic menu items like hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, fries, and hand-spun milkshakes. If you're in the mood for a hot dog, you can enjoy it Kosher, with cheese, bacon, or bacon and cheese! There are also eight different burgers and four sandwiches to choose from, providing customers all of the options necessary to fulfil whatever the craving is.

Plus, the menu has about fifteen toppings you can add on for free, from veggies to condiments to hot sauces. If you still have room for dessert, the Five Guys milkshakes are not to be passed by. From mix-ins like oreo cookie pieces, salted caramel, bacon and strawberries, there's a flavor for everyone. However, there is something that Five Guys isn't telling us. If the variety in their regular menu isn't enough for you, or you're simply ready to branch out, there's asecret menu and it's beyond brilliant. Here are 10 nationwide favorites.

1. Patty Melt

The first on the Five Guys secret menu is the all-famous Five Guys patty melt. A combination of a grilled cheese and a burger patty, this sandwich is served with Texas toast bread, making this sandwich that much butter than a plain ole' Five Guys burger. Add in some free toppings such as grilled mushrooms and onions to make this sandwich complete.

2. The Presidential Burger

Did you know that President Obama loves Five Guys? Barack Obama visited locations in the D.C. area on multiple occasions, ordering the same thing: a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, jalapeño peppers, and mustard. Try it out for yourself today, minus the secret service.

3. The Double Grilled Cheeseburger

Get your stomach ready- this secret menu item is not for the faint of heart. Two grilled cheese sandwiches make up the buns in this hefty burger. The melted cheese combined with the hamburger patty is for those who LOVE cheese.

4. In-N-Out Animal Style

You don't need to be all the way on the West Coast to enjoy the taste of an In-N-Out Burger. Instead, walk into any of your local Five Guys locations and order a regular cheeseburger (if you want only one patty ask for a little cheeseburger). Add the grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and pickles and you've got yourself an animal style burger.

Now comes the fun part-mixing up your own version of the In-n-Out sauce. Stir together in a small condiment cup mayo, ketchup and mustard and slather it on your burger.

5. Burger Bowl

Just like at Chipotle, you can order your food in a bowl at this burger joint. Just ask for a burger bowl and enjoy the taste of a burger without the added carbs from a bun.

6. Extra Well Done Fries

Love super crispy fries? Ask for your french fries to be cooked extra well done for some of the crispiest fries you've ever had at a fast food joint. Don't forget to order them with cajun seasoning for a kick.

Beware: Five Guys uses peanut oil for their fries so if you have a nut allergy I would pass.

7. The Artery Annihilator

You no longer have to decide whether or not you should order a hot dog or burger. The Artery Annihilator, created by a Five Guys employee and Reddit user, is the mashup of a bacon hot dog and a bacon cheeseburger. Order this by asking for a bacon cheeseburger with a halved hot dog served on top.

8. The HB Slammer

Just like the Artery Annihilator, this burger was created by the same Reddit user. For this Five Guys secret menu item, order a Bacon Cheeseburger and get it with some extra bacon, mayo, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled jalapeños, hot sauce, and A1 sauce.

9. Chicago Style Hot Dog

Also known as the Breaking Windy City Hot Dog, this menu item is a must if you love hot dogs. Order a beef hot dog topped with tomato, relish, pickles, hot sauce, mustard, and green peppers. It'll feel just like you're at the Windy City.

10. Sloppy Joe

If you love the taste of sloppy joe sandwiches, you need to order this menu hack. Ask for a burger topped with grilled green peppers, grilled onions, ketchup, & BBQ sauce. It tastes just like the real thing.
