Celebrity blogger, cookbook writer, homeware designer, restaurateur and mercantile owner, children’s author and all-around media dynamo Ree Drummond, “The Pioneer Woman,” can now add to her impressive list of achievements publisher, following the wildly successful first issue of her print magazine.
The Pioneer Woman Magazine, published by Hearst Magazine, had its first issue released June 6, with the follow up due for September. However, stores could not keep the magazine on the shelves long enough.
The first issue, which was available only at 4,000 U.S. Walmart stores, was so successful it sold out entirely within a week. If you missed yours, though never fear: as Adweek reports, Hearst announced will go back to the presses for an additional 100,000 copies.
In a statement prior to the first issue’s release, Drummond said,
“The magazine brings together everything I’m passionate about. I love using images to share recipes, spark discussions and tell stories, so this was a natural next step for me. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the first issue!”
Many of you expressed disappointment that your local Walmarts don’t have the promised copies. Hopefully after this re-printing and restocking, you’ll be able to find in your hometowns across the country.
