As the fast-food breakfast wars rage on for your early-morning bucks, a new contender has entered the field — Del Taco, with its monster 17-ounce Huevos Rancheros Epic Burrito. This burrito enters the field while fast food joints are trying to capitalize on their breakfast menus and wrangle the hungry crowds before 11 in the morning.
Weighing in at more than 1 pound, Del Taco’s Huevos Rancheros Epic Burrito featured grilled chorizo sausage, scrambled eggs, refried pinto beans, roasted chile salsa, sliced avocado, shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream, double-wrapped between two corn tortillas, then an oversized flour tortilla.
For $4.99, the Huevos Rancheros Epic Burrito can be yours, and a $6.99 combo includes a cup of coffee and an order of Del Taco’s hash brown sticks.
The chain has also introduced a line of smaller breakfast offerings for the more budget- (and cholesterol-) conscious breakfaster.
Its $1 Breakfast roller come in three styles — egg and cheese, chorizo and eggs or bacon and eggs, each with grated cheese and a zesty red sauce.
