Transform Your Chick-fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup into a Spicy Dip

If there's one thing destined to warm you up, it's a hot steaming bowl of Chick-fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup. Filled with tender chicken, three types of beans and a hint of spice, the seasonal favorite warms you up. And while we adore the original (double the tortilla strips, please!), the test kitchen at Chick-fil-A have been whipping up some new recipes that use the creamy and filling soup in a variety of different ways.

A little bit ago Chick-fil-A shared with us how some of their team members like to jazz up the soup with different ingredients. One in Chicago likes to add ranch to her soup while another team member likes to add lime, bacon and cheese to her soup.

This recipe, however, sends the soup out of the park. Chef Angela Wadlington from Chick-fil-A's test kitchen has decided to share with us her recipe for Slow Cooker Spicy Chicken Tortilla Dip and it looks amazing.

What we love about this recipe is the fact that the base is the soup itself which makes this dip ultra creamy and quick to put together. We recommend cooking this in a smaller slow cooker (perhaps this one here which is made for keeping your dips nice and hot).

In your slow cooker, mix together Chick-fil-A Chicken Tortilla Soup, cream cheese, shredded pepper jack cheese, green chilis, green onions, lime juice, crema Mexicana, salsa verde, cilantro, paprika and cayenne pepper. Add the cover and cook on high for about 30 minutes, stirring halfway through.

Once the dip is nice and hot, top the dip with a sprinkling of sharp cheddar cheese and cover once more to cook until melted, about 10 minutes. Remove the lid and turn off the heat because it's time to enjoy this delicious dip.

Serve with assorted veggies like carrots or celery or a bowl full of tortilla chips. Whichever way you decide to enjoy, it's going to be filling and delicious.
