Dips are one of those treats that we usually claim are only acceptable at parties. However, we all know that were we presented with the option, we would probably scoop up the nearest chip and dig into a dip for dinner. Especially if it was a cheesy bacon-jalapeño dip.
To make the indulgence worth it though, you want to make sure that you have a really good dip recipe at your fingertips. So, to help you out, the Food Network put together this handy little video where they demonstrate how to transform eight ingredients into the most mouthwatering dip you’ve enjoyed in a while.
Step 1: Add ingredients
As a sort of one-pot meal, before you do anything else you need to add all the ingredients to the bowl. For this dish, that includes:
- 8oz cream cheese
- 2 cups shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 tbsp bacon drippings
- 1 tsp white wine vinegar
- 2 jalapeños, thinly sliced
Step 2: Mix ingredients
Now combine all the ingredients well.
You don’t want any stray clumps of cream cheese or unincorporated jalapeños!
Step 3: Spread the dip evenly in a pan
Place the dip in an oven safe pan and spread it evenly.
Step 4: Toppings
Now, the important part to remember is that you need to top this dip with a healthy dose of breadcrumbs.

Step 5: Bake
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 min and the top is golden brown.
Step 6: Enjoy
Now dig into that beautifully browned dip. Use chips or veggie sticks. Really, whatever is on hand will be wonderful coated in a cheesy, spicy, bacon-y flavor.
