A bar in Los Angeles is serving a brown-bagged 40-ounce bottle of Colt 45 malt liquor – for $15. As SFGATE reports, Saint Felix, 1602 N. Cahuenga Blvd., in Hollywood, features on its menu, amid the top-shelf cocktails, red and white wine selections and trendy craft beers, a glass bottle of what easily ranks among the worst beers available.
For those of you lucky enough to be unfamiliar with the stuff, Colt 45’s main, if not only, selling point is its cost/alcohol ratio. At 6.1 percent ABV, it’s strong stuff, if you can stomach it.
Dawg, gentrification at its finest. Wow!!!!! pic.twitter.com/hosX4a7WY1

From your neighborhood corner store or bodega, a 40 of Colt 45 will run you right around $3, brown bag included at no extra charge, meaning Saint Felix is pulling down a healthy 500 percent profit margin with each sale.
So: gentrification at its worst, or just a bit of good-natured trolling on the part of Saint Felix’s owners?
