Opening day of America’s favorite pastime is right around the corner — April 2! — and the Budweiser is getting in on the action by releasing a line of limited-edition, customized, specialty Major League Baseball cans in select markets.
As Brewbound reports, the King of Beers has partnered with artists and baseball lovers in cities across the country to design cans that speak to each city’s unique culture — and its indomitable team spirit.
“Baseball and the culture it created is a true celebration of the American spirit,” said Budweiser Vice President Ricardo Marques.
He continued, “This year, we wanted to leverage our long-standing partnership with MLB to raise a toast to the fans by giving them a piece of their hometown to enjoy right in the palm of their hand with our MLB designed team cans.”
Cans will feature iconic images from each city’s history, culture and, of course, loyalty to the home team.
The team cans will hit stores March 27 in Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis, Tampa Bay and Washington, D.C.
