Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s will make history with the release of the Baby Back Rib Burger, the first fast-food burger topped with — you guessed it — baby back ribs. As Brand Eating reports, the sandwich includes a charbroiled beef patty piled with deboned baby-back ribs from Bubb’s-Q, doused in Cattleman’s Original BBQ Sauce and dressed with crisp-fried onion strips and pickles on a brioche bun.
Are you drooling yet? How about now:
Shark Tank viewers will know Bubba’s-Q Boneless Ribs, an Ohio barbecue restaurant that appeared on the show and won investment from one of its “sharks.” This is a huge step for the brand, and an exciting one at that.
Could it be that Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are feeling the pressure of the fast food game lately? It seems like every time we turn around, a new story breaks regarding the next big trend, whether it was Arby’s releasing limited edition venison burgers (that sold out immediately) or Taco Bell forsaking all with a fried egg shell instead of a tortilla.
The Baby Back Rib Burger will hit stores nationwide April 27, and will run $5.59 for a single and $6.79 for a double.
