7 Scrumptious Finger Foods to Match the Spirit of the Academy Awards

The Oscars are upon us and that means class is at an all-time high for one night of the year. This year marks the 89th Academy Awards, and whether you’re spending it with your friends or family, make sure you mark up your mock-ballots and get to ready to snack on some serious finger foods. Elegance is not defined by how miniature your appetizers are, but it plays a tiny part.

I have prepared a list of high class finger foods for your Oscar watch party. Enjoy!

Swedish meatballs are some of my favorites, and fit the theme of this recipe list.

These are lighter and more appeasing to the eye than the barbecue meatballs most have as finger foods at parties. This recipe will have you begging for more.

6. Shrimp Cocktail

Savor the Best

Simple, yet elegant. The shrimp cocktail is an old favorite that’s a fit for just about any occasion.

Be sure not to overcook the shrimp, this isn’t a pasta or soup where the overcooking can be hidden in sauce. Get the recipe here.

7. Mini Crab Cakes

I went to high school in Maryland and let me tell you, it’s so different from the South, with the top difference being the true love for crab.

These mini crab cakes pack more flavor than you think. So grab some of that lump crab meat and get to work. Get the recipe here.
